With autumn on it’s way the weather is starting to change, and over the last couple of days we’ve had a bit of rain.
The chicken feed has ended up more like a stew than grain, so until i get around to putting up a covered in area in the chicken run i thought i should make a temporary cover/shelter for the pellets and grain.
The shelter i made is quite basic and took no time at all to make. I bought a piece of shed felt for the top, but i guess i could have just treated it with a fence paint and it would have given the same protection from the rain. I left the sides open but covered in the back so it can be turned with the back towards the wind, to stop the rain driving in under the roof.
Here are a couple of photos of the finished cover.
