Scaffold Board Table

Having seen a few examples of scaffold board furniture of late i thought i would try my hand at making some myself.

The first thing i made from reclaimed scaffold boards is a kitchen or dining table. It took a while to prepare the scaffold boards, but the end result is pretty good. I used an antique pine wax for the finish and gave the table three coats.

The legs of the table are made from some old posts that came from a heavy duty pallet used for shipping steel. The turning on the legs was done by myself on an old wood lathe that i have.

  1. That looks great!

Any chance of elaborating the plank prep process? I am looking at doing some work with these kind of planks, sawhorses/workbench first to get used to the boards, then maybe a table like yours..

  2. Your table looks brilliant! I’m looking to get my dad to make one for our new house, so am trawling the internet for inspiration. Also looking to get our carpenter friend to make bunk beds for my sons with reclaimed scaffold boards too. Have you made any other furniture with scaffold boards since?
